tryslora. I'm not actually linking to the fics, or telling you who they're about, or anything, because I'm lazy. Theoretically they're my most recent 21 fics, but I'll likely skip over drabbles.
Also, there is no definition of what constitutes "first line". I'm assuming it's probably meant to be the first sentence, but I reserve the right to change that if it suits me.
Because I do what I want.
1. Circus folk looked after their own.
2. There are things I never thought I'd have, so I never allowed myself to want them.
3. "Head up. Back straight. One foot in front of the other," Clint whispers. "Just a little farther."
4. When the storm hits, we are nowhere near shelter.
5. "Hawkeye. Tell me you've got visual."
6. "I can't do this." Clint tugged at the knot of his tie, yanking it loose. "Natasha, I can'tâ"
7. "Natasha? What are you...?"
8. I sit on the edge of her bed and watch her sleep.
9. CRASH.
10. It might have surprised others to find out, given what they knew â or thought they knew â about her job and how she did it, that Natasha and Clint didn't fuck like rabbits.
11. "Target is in sight," Barton breathed, knowing that it would be picked up and transmitted back to the ones who were responsible for extracting him if it came to that.
12. There were others, once in a while, but it was this place she kept coming back to, this nest of tangled sheets and blankets and limbs that held her not too tight but just tight enough.
13. "Agent Barton." Natasha tried to keep her voice from shaking, even though the rest of her was.
14. "Room Service," Clint called through the door, rapping his knuckles against it and stepping to the side, assuming she would answer the door with a gun drawn.
15. "Dry your eyes," Nurse said, wiping at them with the corner of her apron.
16. "Ignore it."
17. He had been watching the house for weeks, waiting for the right moment and, if he was being honest with himself, the nerve to face what was coming.
18. I don't remember falling asleep on the couch, but then who does?
19. It's the silence I can't take.
20. "Well, well. What is this, then?" Simpson asked, looking up from the bit of wood he was whittling when he heard someone come in to the midshipmen's berth and set down a sea chest.
21. "I don't want to go back to the ship," Archie said softly, his cheek resting against Horatio's shoulder as they lay together in the bed.
