To Do - November 2 & 3, 2013

I'm off to a later start than I had planned, but I injured myself (again) in TKD last night, so giving myself extra time to sleep and heal can't be a bad thing. (I tweaked my lower back and it's no so much painful as achy - like I've been standing for hours except it didn't just go away after sitting/sleeping.) So Tae Kwon Do was taken off the To Do list for today, because if I don't rest it won't get better (a lesson I've learned the hard way over and over again). Between skipping Wednesday, no class on Thursday for Halloween, and today, this is the first time in a long time that I've only trained twice in a week. But hey, you do what you gotta do, right?

I am really, really hoping that this list is actually manageable, because I would really love to be able to actually do everything on my To Do list for once, and still have time to relax as well. We'll see how it goes.

Getting ready to head out to the Vermont Country Store now... because logically, if one has effed up one's back, one should spend 4 hours in the car. But we've been planning to go for a couple of weeks, so I'll muddle through.

Not too much done, but I'm working on it. Trip to Vermont Country Store was fun - probably would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't in so much pain. I feel like I should stretch, that it would help... but it hurts. So... we'll see. Laundry is started, anyway. Still have a bunch of reading and writing to do. Mostly I want to sleep.

I still have reading and writing to do today, but other than that I've done basically everything I set out to get done. I started out with 28 Sticky Notes and I'm down to 15. I want to get another 3 done, but I'll settle for two.

Down to less than half of the sticky notes that I started off with, and I've gotten everything I set out to do today done except for the reading, which I will do tomorrow. I'll probably try to do a little before I go to sleep, but I'm hoping that if I get lots of sleep tonight I'll wake up in less pain tomorrow.

And so starts the second day of the weekend. It's feeling very manageable, and my back hurts less today so that's good, too. I'm going to try to do some stretching in the hopes that it will help, since with that much reading and writing I'm also going to be doing a lot of sitting, which I'm pretty sure doesn't. Yesterday it was too sore to even stretch. I'm starting to worry about the sore muscle in my right leg that doesn't seem to be getting any better, but that's probably a subject for another post.

Trying to decide if I should do a bit more reading or start to tackle the writing...

Writing for NaNo is done for the day. I just need to finish up next week's chapter of Sign so that I don't need to worry about that, and I should be good to go. Well, except that at some point I'll need to find time to write the chapter for the week after that...

It's very comforting to look at your To Do list and see so few things when you still have at least 9 hours of the day left (and probably 10, because unless I am completely sleep deprived I'm pretty much incapable of going to sleep before then). I think I'm going to try to finish Chapter 11 of Sign next, because that will knock off 2 Sticky Notes right there. Then it's just reading, responding to email, and dinner. Go me.

Nearly done! The dough is rising for the making of pizza for dinner. I went to Target and Trader Joe's, which wasn't on my To Do list, but it saves me from having to do it later in the week. Now I just need to finish this book and I'll be done for the day! Which leaves me wondering what I'm going to do this evening...

That's it. I'm done! And it's only 6:30. I could watch a movie. I could probably watch TWO movies and still go to bed roughly on time. Wow. Go me.
